ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group. Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for an Electrical Engineer wh o will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, through the design, development, and validation of the electrical systems of the Iron Air Battery, ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for power, control, and monitoring systems.
  • Perform short-circuit, overcurrent, and ground fault analyses to ensure system safety.
  • Select electrical components (e.g., relays, fuses, transformers) based on technical requirements.
  • Validate designs through laboratory testing (e.g., insulation, dielectric strength).
  • Collaborate with CAE and mechanical teams to integrate electrical systems.
  • Document technical specifications, user manuals, and test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards (e.g., NEC, IEC 61439, UL 508A).

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience in AUTOCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical or related.

  • Knowledge of electrical standards such as NEC, IEC, UL and component selection.

  • Ability to review electrical diagrams with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to participate in electrical safety reviews and risk analyses (e.g., FMEA).

  • Support certification documentation (e.g., UL, IEC).

  • English level B2–C1.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Energy Storage Systems, Power Electronics.
  • Knowledge in SCADA/PLC.
  • Hands-on experience with corrosive/hight-temperature design
  • Knowledge in Python/LabVIEW
