Content Senior Marketing Copywriter | Bankrate at Red Ventures

Senior copywriter who writes and tests high-converting marketing copy across paid social, email, landing pages, and direct mail for a financial services company.

Senior Hybrid Posted about 12 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices.

For the Bankrate website click here. Curious how Bankrate fits into Red Ventures? Click here.

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Copywriter to own the words behind Bankrate’s marketing channels — from paid social and display to email, landing pages, and direct mail. This is a high-output, direct response role for someone who writes with intention, tests with rigor, and measures success in clicks, conversions, and revenue. You’ll be embedded in the marketing team, working directly with performance and lifecycle managers to translate strategy into copy that moves people to act. You’ll help shape the testing agenda, bring your own hypotheses, and use performance data to make your next draft better than your last.

What You’ll Do:

  • Paid social and display copy: Write headlines, hooks, body copy, and CTAs for ads across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, programmatic display, and streaming/CTV. Build variants designed for testing, with clear differences in angle, tone, and message that generate real signal.
  • Creative testing: Partner with performance managers to develop copy-driven test hypotheses. Know what lever you’re pulling with each variant and document learnings so they compound across campaigns.
  • Volume with craft: Maintain high output without defaulting to generic copy. The tenth variant should be as considered as the first.
  • Email copy: Write subject lines, preheaders, and body copy for trigger-based and broadcast campaigns. Support A/B testing across angles, CTAs, and length. Understand how copy interacts with layout to drive opens and clicks.
  • CRO-focused page copy: Write and iterate on landing page copy built for conversion. Translate test briefs into distinct treatments — headline, subhead, body, CTA — and use performance data to sharpen each iteration.
  • Message hierarchy: Structure copy to guide attention and reduce friction. Know what to lead with, what to support, and what to cut.
  • Direct mail copy: Write copy for direct mail campaigns — envelope teaser, letter copy, inserts, and response devices. Understand the read patterns and attention dynamics of physical mail and write to them.
  • Compliance-aware writing: Write effective direct response copy within financial services compliance constraints. Work with legal review processes, incorporate required disclosures without killing conversion, and find the persuasive angle that still clears the bar.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Direct response track record: Experience writing DR copy with accountability to performance metrics. You’ve seen the data on your own copy and used it to improve the next round. Portfolio shows breadth across paid ads, email, and landing pages.
  • Multi-channel fluency: You’ve written across paid social, email, landing pages, and direct mail and understand the format constraints and conversion dynamics of each.
  • Hypothesis-driven tester: You develop a point of view on what should win and why, track results, and build a compounding body of copy knowledge — not just a portfolio of variants.
  • Compliance-fluent: You have experience writing in regulated industries. You know how to advocate for effective copy within compliance constraints, not just around them.
  • Collaborative and fast: You work well with designers and channel managers, can push back when strategy is unclear, and ship strong work without waiting for perfect inputs.
  • Structured and self-directed: You manage multiple workstreams, flag blockers early, and deliver without heavy oversight.
  • AI-forward practitioner: You use AI tools to accelerate drafting and iteration. You evaluate outputs critically for voice, accuracy, and compliance, and know where they add real leverage.

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $90,000 – $130,000 per year

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.

Who We Are:

Content Technical Writer Robotics at AeroVect

Technical writer creates and maintains assembly, servicing, integration, and operator documentation for autonomous robotics hardware systems across internal and external audiences.

Mid Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who We Are

AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Our customers include some of the world’s largest airlines and ground handling providers. For more information, visit www.aerovect.com.

We are looking for a Technical Writer to build and own AeroVect’s documentation practice from the ground up. As our first dedicated technical writer, you will create the authoritative documentation that supports every stage of our product lifecycle — from assembly and integration on the manufacturing floor to field servicing by operators and airport partners. Your work will be used by internal hardware and software engineers, external deployment teams and our airline and ground handling customers. You will need to go deep with engineering teams to understand complex electromechanical systems and translate that knowledge into clear, accurate and maintainable documentation.

This role is the right fit for a self-directed writer who has worked in a technical hardware or robotics environment, is comfortable owning an entire documentation function, and takes pride in making complex systems accessible to diverse audiences.

You Will

  • Create and maintain assembly and build documentation for our autonomous tractor platform, including step-by-step illustrated assembly instructions, wiring and harness guides, component installation procedures and torque and fastener specifications.

  • Develop field servicing and maintenance documentation for use by deployment engineers and airport partner technicians, covering inspection procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, fault diagnosis guides and repair workflows.

  • Write and maintain hardware bring-up and integration guides for internal engineering teams, including tractor commissioning procedures, sensor calibration workflows, and post-repair verification checklists.

  • Produce operator-facing documentation including user manuals, quick-reference cards, safety notices and onboarding materials for airline and ground handling customers.

  • Build and manage a documentation system that supports both internal and external audiences — establishing version control practices, document naming conventions, and a scalable structure as the fleet and product evolve.

  • Work directly with hardware, software and field engineering teams to source technical content, review drafts for accuracy and keep documentation current as the product changes.

  • Create visual aids including annotated diagrams, exploded views, and process flowcharts in collaboration with the hardware design team.

  • Develop and maintain software-facing documentation where needed, including API references, configuration guides and internal runbooks for the autonomy and platform engineering teams.

  • Own release notes and change documentation to communicate hardware and software updates clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

You Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer in a hardware-centric industry such as robotics, automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or consumer electronics.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce assembly, servicing, or maintenance documentation for complex electromechanical systems.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and engineering specifications.

  • Experience creating documentation for multiple audiences — from engineers to technicians to end users — and calibrating content accordingly.

  • Comfort working autonomously in an environment without an established documentation process, and the initiative to build that process yourself.

  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, or similar platforms, and familiarity with version control workflows.

  • Excellent written communication and a sharp editorial eye for clarity, accuracy and consistency.

We Prefer

  • Experience documenting autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, or aviation/airport ground support equipment.

  • Familiarity with structured authoring approaches and single-sourcing documentation strategies for internal and external audiences.

  • Experience producing illustrated documentation using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Figma, or similar.

  • Exposure to regulatory or compliance documentation in safety-critical industries.

  • Experience at an early-stage startup where you have had to build documentation infrastructure from scratch.

Develops video concepts and scripts from brief to final copy, crafting compelling narratives that combine voiceover, on-screen text, and visual storytelling for financial services content.

Mid Remote Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Company Description

A leading financial services company, recognized for its innovative approach to banking, offers a diverse range of products and services, including credit cards, savings accounts, and loans. Known for leveraging cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights, the company prioritizes delivering personalized solutions to its customers. With a strong commitment to simplifying financial experiences, it consistently ranks as a trusted partner for individuals and businesses alike. The organization is also highly regarded for its community initiatives, corporate responsibility, and forward-thinking culture.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Conceptual Copywriter with deep video experience—someone who thinks in scenes and sequences, not just sentences. This role goes beyond writing words that happen to appear in a video; it requires writers who develop the concept itself, shape the narrative structure, and understand viscerally how copy lands when it’s watched and heard rather than read.

Project Type: Contract

Role: Copywriter

Rate: $60-$65 per hour

Location: Remote (CST or EST preferred)

The ideal candidate can take complex product details, financial topics, or brand messages and translate them into audio/visual storytelling that feels clear, natural, and effortless to a viewer. They write with an ear for pacing and a feel for visual rhythm, collaborate fluently with directors and editors, and move between voiceover, on-screen copy, and scene-level concepting with equal confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video Concept Development: Originate and develop video concepts from brief to script—building ideas that work on screen, hold attention across formats, and translate brand or product messaging into compelling visual storytelling.

  • Scriptwriting: Write scripts across a range of video formats—brand films, social video, product explainers, campaign spots, and digital content—with precision in structure, pacing, and tone.

  • Voiceover & On-Screen Copy: Craft voiceover copy that sounds natural when spoken and on-screen text that complements rather than competes with the visual—understanding how both elements work together in the viewer’s experience.

  • Simplifying Complex Topics for Video: Distill complicated product features, financial concepts, or brand narratives into clear, engaging scripts that make the complex feel intuitive without oversimplifying.

  • Narrative Structure & Pacing: Bring a strong command of narrative arc to every project—building sequences that create momentum, land key messages at the right moment, and hold a viewer from open to close.

  • Director & Editor Collaboration: Partner closely with directors, editors, and creative leads throughout production—contributing meaningfully to how a concept evolves from script to screen and adapting copy in response to visual decisions.

  • Brand Voice in Motion: Apply Capital One’s brand voice with consistency across video formats, ensuring the written and spoken word reinforces the brand’s character regardless of tone or subject matter.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of copywriting experience with a clear and primary focus on video—brand campaigns, social video, digital content, or broadcast—demonstrated through a portfolio of video-first work.

  • Proven ability to develop original video concepts, not just execute scripts from existing ideas.

  • Strong scriptwriting fundamentals: scene and sequence thinking, narrative structure, voiceover craft, and on-screen copy writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex or technical subject matter for a general audience in a video context—making it engaging without stripping out substance.

  • A clear sense of pacing and visual rhythm; able to write copy that accounts for how an audience experiences time on screen.

  • Collaborative working style with experience partnering directly with directors, editors, and creative directors through production.

  • Strong brand voice instincts and the ability to maintain consistency across a wide range of video formats and tones.

  • Portfolio must include video scripts or finished video work; candidates without video-specific samples will not be considered.

We’re looking for a sharp, adaptable Copywriter to join our Brand team at a leading financial services company. This person will craft clear, confident, and on-brand copy across a wide range of channels—translating complex financial topics into language that is accessible, trustworthy, and compelling.

The ideal candidate knows how to write with purpose and precision. You understand that great financial services copy earns credibility before it earns attention—and you’re skilled at balancing creative ambition with the constraints of a regulated environment. You bring range: from long-form brand storytelling to punchy campaign lines, UX microcopy, and executive communications.

Project Type: Contract

Role:  Brand Copywriter

Location: Remote (CST or EST preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign & Brand Copywriting: Conceive and write copy for integrated brand campaigns across digital, social, print, OOH, video, and email. Develop headline concepts, taglines, and long-form content that reflect the brand voice and resonate with target audiences.

  • Content Development Across Channels: Produce a high volume of on-brand copy for a variety of formats and platforms—including web, social media, paid media, internal communications, sales enablement materials, and executive presentations.

  • Brand Voice Stewardship: Uphold and evolve the brand’s tone of voice across all written communications. Partner with brand leadership to document, refine, and operationalize voice and messaging guidelines for use across the organization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with art directors, designers, strategists, and project managers to develop integrated creative concepts. Participate in briefings, brainstorms, and creative reviews, contributing ideas and perspective beyond just the words on the page.

  • Compliance & Legal Navigation: Write with an awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations inherent to financial services communications. Collaborate with legal and compliance reviewers constructively, finding creative solutions that preserve both clarity and brand integrity.

  • Editing & Quality Control: Review and edit copy produced by others for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards. Maintain a high bar for quality across all written output, regardless of format or channel.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of copywriting experience within an in-house brand or marketing team, creative agency, or editorial environment

  • Portfolio demonstrating range across brand campaigns, digital content, and long-form writing—ideally with samples from a financial services, professional services, or regulated industry context

  • Exceptional command of written language; able to write with clarity, precision, and personality across a wide range of formats, audiences, and tones

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical, or regulated subject matter into compelling, accessible copy

  • Experience working within brand voice and messaging frameworks; comfortable both following and helping to shape guidelines

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to give and receive creative feedback constructively and work effectively within cross-functional teams

  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality
